AboutAbout

Thanks for visiting my website! You are either a friend or a current client or a prospective client! To my friends, welcome! Look around and give me a call and tell me what you think. To my current clients, thank you for your trust in me to help you improve your golf games. I hope you find this website easy to navigate, full of good information, and easier to communicate with me and that this website is easy to make your appointments online. Of course, if you are used to calling me on my cell phone you are certainly welcome to continue ( 314-323-0003 ).

If you are a prospective client in the St. Louis, St. Charles County, Missouri or Illinois areas and wish to improve your golf game with quality golf instruction I welcome you to my website. Choosing the right instructor is an important decision and it is not always easy. There are no standard requirements to teach golf, anyone can become a "pro". It takes 10,000 hours to become an expert in any field. I have over 40,000 hours of golf instruction. The best instructors work with all level of players, I have. From PGA Get Golf Ready clinics for beginners, to eight years as the Head Coach at Saint Louis University coaching both men and women's teams, to working with many of the top high school, college, and amateur players in the region, to working with the everyday golfer at the clubs I have worked ( MidRivers, Missouri Bluffs Golf Club, Gateway National, and my current home since 2010 the fabulous Old Hickory Golf Club ).

You should ask questions of the instructors you consider using. Are they PGA Class A members in good standing? I am. While not a specific requirement to teach golf, not being a PGA member shows a lack of professional commitment to best serve you. Have they attended any of the PGA Teaching and Coaching Summit's? Held biannually, it features the best and brightest in golf instruction. Attendance is a sure sign of continuing education and commitment to growth. I have attended all but 2 since 1995. I know how few St. Louis area teaching professionals attend this, I believe it gives me a tremendous edge.I have been awarded the Gateway PGA Teacher of the Year and have been on Golf Digest's Top Teachers in Missouri list. But the best way still to find a great golf instructor is word of mouth. Ask around. I am confident in my reputation in St. Louis Golf. Check out my testimonial page here on my website. I am proud and thankful for these golfer's to allow me to use their words and first and last names. If you visit a site only using first names on their testimonials they probably made them up!

I look forward to seeing my friends, my current clients, and you my prospective client soon at Old Hickory Golf Club.
